My garage door needed to be serviced immediately. I set up an appointment online and was taken care of quickly. The service technician (Tanner) did a fantastic job. The appointment was for 6 o'clock in the evening and I got at my house at 5:38 pm. The technician was already there waiting for me and it took him a half an hour to fix what it was broke. I'm very satisfied very good job.

About 12:20 P.M. on Saturday, New Years Eve, I noticed the torsion spring on my garage door had broken. My fear was that I would be locked out for the weekend. I found Precision Doors on the Yellow Pages, then checked their website for more information. I called Precision, and was told a tech would come between 2 and 4. Jason arrived about 1:45. He explained the two choices of springs that were available, and the reasons that both should be replaced together. Jason completed the installation and door operation check up to my satisfaction in about an hour. I would highly recommend Precision to my friends.

For the most part I am satisfied. The workers were terrific, friendly, clean, efficient and explained everything. My two concerns are that the metal vertical supports on the inside of the door appear to be thinner and cheaper than on my old door, and the price was quite high. I was in a hurry to get it fixed but if you have the time I would highly recommend getting multiple estimates.

James, Thank you for your feedback. That is a very good question. Years ago the vertical supports in older doors were much heavier, depending upon the thickness of the steel. The vertical supports do not actually bear any weight of the door, they are there for structural integrity. Some manufacturers would put heavier supports to compensate for the thinner steel skins. The older more heavier vertical supports also put undo weight and stress on the door and springs, causing them to have a shorter life span. Our doors are a 25 gauge steel skin which keeps its structural integrity better on its own without adding additional weight of heavy supports.

I googled garage door repair in Milwaukee. Looked through the list and read through Precision Door Service. Located within 5 miles of my home, watched the YouTube video and liked what I saw. Called for estimate on a broken spring. Technician came out between 2-4 pm. Dan & Tony showed up at 2:15-2:30 p.m. Dan assessed my problem and gave me direction. Part was not a standard part that they stock on the truck. The part had to be ordered and they installed it on Aug.5th. I was pleased, satisfied & comfortable with my technician.
