We had the rubber bottom of our door fixed by another company by accident. We were informed that the Precision Tech who put in a new spring a year earlier was not enough for the weight of our door and that it was a safety issue as it would not stay up on its own if necessary to lift it manually. I called Precision regarding this. The scheduler was very polite and said a tech would come out to evaluate which they were prompt in coming. They accused the other company of tampering with the spring, and made the 2 turns necessary I am told to lighten the door. All was good til they charged the $159 service call charge which did not seem fair.

Hi: Contacted your company yesterday to see about getting my condo garage door checked (small one car door), and you were able to come out same day which was impressive. It was a pleasure to deal with the person I called to make the appt, and a pleasure to talk to the technician a couple of times. The big problem I had is with your pricing; $523.95 to put on a bottom seal (that was $195 alone), replace weatherstripping around door opening, and tighten up a wire down by the sensor that would cause the door to fail going down. And, this was the lowest price choice of 3; top one being over $900! So what started out as a very positve experience ended up badly with regard to pricing. I agreed to this just to get the door issues fixed. Did the bottom seal yesterday along with fixing the loose wire, and now waiting for the almont weatherstrip to come in. If you put yourself in my shoes as the Customer, would you think this is a fair price for that work? I did not. Thanks

We were a no show at the specified time given to us. I called and was told we were put on a later alternate list. Unfortunately no one notified us and I wasted a day waiting. Poor office help might be suspected, but that's you're fault Brian ultimately. When we finally got our service done, Joe the technician was proficient and concise. Kudus there. Pricing is also an issue, checking later I feel that it was grossly unfair. I'm not happy and have good reason. My time is valuable too, but no one seemed to care...........

The young lad Precision Door sent to reengage my opener to the overhead door, solved that problem in about 2 minutes and showed me how to do it. He then proceeded to check out the entire system. When he discovered the cable on one side had a frayed strand he recommended replacing the entire system ASAP. In the process of checking out the entire system and writing, what I thought was an estimate (It actually turns out to be a contract I have to void before July 3 ,2022)He apparently threw the Safety light beam out of alignment. When I opened the door today, for the first time,it opened,BUT would Not Close. I want Precision Door to come back and correctly realign the Safety Light Beam to restore function to my existing system. I also plan to void the contract the repair man wrote,Before July 3,2022,and will seek estimates for Complete Replacement from other Companies. I will be gone until Thursday afternoon,June,23.Have someone call to make an appointment to realign The Safety Light Beam.

Service and amazing speed in solving the problem. Called Precision at 9:20 am. Technician was working on the door by 10:20 and finished replacing broken part in less than 20 minutes. Technician was very personable and an asset to your business. Thank you !

Service was good and fast, however it is hard to get in contact with company after work is completed. When you wait on hold the sales song playing in background is annoying as can be, makes you want to hang up just to get rid of the song. Web site does not have contact email? I still need a lien waiver from the company so I can sell my house in the near future?

I entered my request for a quote through BBB. One of your employees called and immediately wanted to schedule the service. I had to stop her and tell her I wanted an estimate for replacing my 2 torsion springs, she then quoted $189.00. You can imaging my shock when I talked to my wife before coming home from work and hearing the bill was $699.95. My wife said the tech was very nice and I'm sure he did quality work, but the price difference is quite shocking. I believe your company may need to slow down and read the emails more carefully and reply to them as asked. Also if the person calling doesn't know all the info, than maybe take the time talk to a service or sales manager to be accurate.

We tried for emergency service, but had to wait till the following day to have our spring repaired. Because we are purchasing a new garage door in the next few months, we requested the least expensive remedy. Instead, we were told additional parts needed replacement at a total charge of $552. At that point we had no choice, but to agree or lose the service fee of $70 and wait another day to get out of our garage. Work was done well, but disappointed in inflexibility of repair cost.

Pro: Technician was nice and knowledgeable. Con: Company does not carry parts for my particular, common, brand of garage so they were unable to repair. Would have been nice to know which brands they can service before paying someone $85 to say that. When scheduling appointment, I was made aware of the $69 trip fee but then got charged an additional $15 "Environment Surcharge - Environmental/Maintenance" fee even though no repairs were made.

They had good reviews so I called them. Mark came out and told me he would install a door exactly like I had, but better and up to code. Mark also said he would give the same deal to all the owners in my complex because none of us had garage doors that were up to code. Andy came to install my door. The door I had previously had a turn handle to open the door in the event the motor quit, as none of the garages have side doors. My new door does not. When I mentioned it to Andy he said I'd have to talk to Mark. Then I asked about the safety sensors. Andy said I'd have to install a new motor, which costs as much if not more than the door. So my door is still not up to code, and I'm screwed if the motor dies because there is no way to get into the garage. And Mark doesn't answer or return calls. The door is nice and quiet but I want what I paid for, which was a door just like mine, with the handle, and the safety sensors. Will be reporting this to the credit card company.

The technician that came to my house was great - nice guy and knowledgeable. I had him look at my door since it had an issue. We decided replacing the door was probably the best option. He gave me quote. Since I didn't have him do any work that day I was charged an $85 trip charge with is kind of annoying since I was never told that when I made the appointment.

All i thought i needed was an adjustment, because my door was on even and when it came down the top garage panel hits the top of the garage frame, however they told me that 3 bearings needed replacing plus and re-aligned. The cost was $65 per bearing and $150 dollars for garage to be re-aligned, plus service charge , for a total of $420.00 plus tax. I told the tech that i could not paid that amount, and i could replace the whole garage door for that amount.... He said that the door has damage and it ( yes, it did) however it was working just fine with damage, 4 days ago when i replaced the springs myself,i just did not aligned it correctly, so far as i could tell is if they adjusted it , it would work fine...Long story short...i felt the service was very over priced and one of the Service Tech could have been a little more customer friendly, other then that , Never got to use your service,so my rating is based on my encounter with Service Tech, also he tried to charge me a $84.95 trip charge .However i was quoted $69.95 on the phone when making appointment, the one Service Tech how take my payment seemed annoyed that said that , so i told him to call the company, because i only going to pay what i was quoted. He did not like that and had the attitude that i lie about the trip charge. In my opinion the service was very overpriced. My rating is based only on my interaction with one of Service Tech.

Garage door looks good, but that is compared to one that had been there for45 years.

Service was quick, attempted up sell even quicker. All I needed on a 6 year old door was a new spring, after less than one minute the tech determined I need spring, rollers, cables and bearings to the tune of $900. Only the spring was replace and when door didn't close the whole way the tech recommended I needed parts for the opener( $189 )that was working fine just minutes before. I repaired the opener for $0.
As part of our service call we go thru a 25 point inspection and give you an overview of the condition of your door and operator. Your garage door is the largest moving part in your home and parts tend to wear over the years. We want you to make an informed decision based on our findings. I'm glad you chose what works for your budget.

I am satisfied with the work performed. However, I paid $563 to have two springs replaced. It seemed very high so I did some research afterwards and found that the cost ranged from $185 - $250. I wish I would have done my research ahead of time so that is my fault. Mike was very professional and did complete the job very quickly. In the past I have had good experience using home advisors....this is not one of them.
- John Rastello
Thank you for your feedback. In regards to doing your research on springs....do the springs have the same life span?.....do they have the same guarantee?.....do the prices include installation? Please consider all of these when determining if the price is fair and reasonable. All products are not the same.

I called Precision because the ad that was placed in the Yellow Pages stated that they could do custom garage doors. I called the number in the book and talked with a very nice lady, she also told me that it was possible to make a custom garage door. When the sale rep/ service tech came to give me a quote, he pulled out his brochures of factory made doors, none of which would fit my needs. Dave said he would go back to the office and that Precision Door would get back to me with a quote for the door that I requested. That very same afternoon I received a call from Dave telling me that they could not produce the door I requested.

We are very sorry that we could not accommodate your needs. There are, unfortunately, some doors that we are unable to have made due to size restrictions from the manufacturer. This is the very reason we like to send someone to your, home at no cost to you, to get accurate measurements as well as an "eyes on" perspective. Once again, we are very sorry that we could not get a door that fit your needs.

I was dissatisfied with the delivery of service. The window was from 10-12 we rearranged an appointment and waited the morning. The technician called arount 2PM stating he was running late and would be there in a half hour. We understand schedules are sometimes unpredictable but when he knew he was not going to make it by 12 we should have recieved a phone call to let us know this.......This was a return call as the opener needed to be reset from the day before-- Other than this we were satisfied with the price, knowledge and workmanship from the technician the day before---the second day was a different technician...... The day before I was impressed that the technician called after being notified that the problem was completely fixed. This is the type of service I appreciate. Thank you, Joy Ninedorf

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We really do try to stay on schedule and notify our customers if we are running behind. We are truly sorry that we failed to call you sooner. We are however very happy to hear that your service experience went well and we do hope that you will keep us in mind for your future garage door needs!
I was pleased with the service. I am sorry, I do not remember the technicians names, but they were very knowledgeable, and shared that with me. They adjusted the spring and the door works fine now. What I was not ready for was the final bill. When I called in, someone told me the service call price (69.95). Then when the technicians and I were talking, they said it would be another 32.50 for labor.

Thank you, very much for using Precision Door, we appreciate your feedback from the Review it means a lot to us. Yes our service call is only $69.95 w/out parts and $49.95 with parts that was quoted to you on the phone. I listened to the recorded phone call and that is directly what you asked about. However depending on the repair w/out parts will depend on the labor to complete the job I feel from reviewing the ticket the Service Tech did discount the ticket a little. We offer a garage door tune-up for $44.95 plus S/C saving you $12.45 Thanks again, Brian
