Colby was very thorough and professional. I was just expecting to replace my springs, but he pointed out multiple other problem spots and recommended a full rebuild. I was initially worried that the extra work wasn't really necessary, but Colby took the time to explain and show me the other issues. He also explained the lower cost options, but only after recommending the most expensive option. I did feel like I was getting a "hard sell" on the full rebuild, which was worrying. After talking things over, I feel Colby did provide an honest recommendation that was in my best interest. So far I am very satisfied with the quality of the work. My only critical feedback is that leading with the full rebuild option was kind of a shock. I probably would have reacted better if Colby present the low-cost options first and worked up to the full rebuild option.

We had a broken spring and our garage door wouldn't open trapping both cars in inside. We called Precision Door service after a competitor promised to come today and then cancelled. The whole experience was really great. The customer service rep who answered the phone was very professional and knew all the right questions to ask. She was friendly and efficient. She scheduled for same day which made me happy and the tech called earlier than expected. When he arrived, Stu Ellenberger took a look at our garage door and said it needed to be rebuilt. He knew exactly what he was doing and explained everything. The rebuild was cheaper than replacing all the individual parts and came with a longer warranty. Stu and his helper were done in about an hour and half. They were both super friendly and knowledgeable. The next time I have a door problem I'll be calling here first! Highly recommend them.

My torsion spring had broken, I obtained, installed, and tensioned the spring, only to find that the door froze at about 1-2 feet off the ground. Intrepid DIYer that I am, I concluded that the door was misaligned and I set about to adjust the cable drums on either side of the spring. It was when I went at the second drum that all the tension in the spring was unleashed, sending the 7/16 wrench that had been in my hand whistling past my ear and landing at the other side of the garage. That's when called Precision, mid-evening on a Tuesday night. Nicka arrived at a little past noon on Wednesday, quickly identified and fixed the problem (the cable ferrule was flipped-out and thus bound against the brace), tuned-up both doors, and charged me just $130 for the work. It was a humbling experience for me, but one that I went through, if only as a reminder of my new favorite adage/solution to household repairs: Pay The Man!

A heavy duty operator bracket was suggested but I was told you wouldn't recommend it. Not sure how to get that done. Unless I need to replace the springs in order to have it done. Quote is a bit pricey for recommended work.. Overall friendly service tech. One concern is the light no longer comes on where it did before. Might just be the bulb. Would hire again.

Purchased new garage door in October 2009 - added lifetime warranty upgrade ($200). Spring broke in September 2017. Called Precision at 3:30. They had a technician (Rick) at the house by 6:00. Replaced both springs and bearings - door working by 7:15. Total cost with warranty: $84. Without warranty would have cost at least $300. Very happy!
