I am giving you 1 star because I am unable to give you 0 stars. My 83 year old mother called you because her garage door opener (which you installed less than 2 years ago) was not working. You came in and offered her 3 options: replace the eyes, replace eyes and spring, or replace eyes, spring and tracks. I was working at my ICU as a nurse at the time and my husband (a firefighter) was also at work. You sold her the eyes and the spring, which she did not need. You told her "the door wasn't balanced" - instead of toghtening the tension, you sold her a spring that she did not need. You also left staples lying all over her garage floor (for her to clean up) and left the wiring for the eyes exposed. You charged her $570.00 (WAY OVERPRICED). When my husband returned home from work and saw your poor workmanship, he asked your workers to come back and fix the wiring and to show him the spring which they said needed to be replaced. They put tape over the exposed wires (NOT wire nuts) and they refused to show him the spring. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of a senior citizen. Karma's a bitch.

Felt like I was scammed. When I booked an appointment to have my cables replaced, I asked for an estimate and was told it would be about $90/hour. It wasn't until after the technician came that I found out it would cost $240 for a 45 minute job! Ended up costing me more than 3 times the cost I was told! Layne did a nice job but I'm sure I could have had this work done for a 3rd of the cost.

I phoned Precision shortly after 8:00 AM to inquire about having our garage door opener looked at and repaired. They scheduled a technician to be at the house between 12:00 and 4:00 that same afternoon. The tech., Preston, arrived at about 2:00 with another tech. in training. I showed them the problem we were having with the opener, and about 5 minutes later, Preston showed me an estimate on his iPad. I authorized the work, and they demonstrated a properly working garage door opener about 15 minutes later. I recommend Precision to anyone in need of garage door opener service.

Service provided: full maintenance on garage door. Replacement of springs, plates, rollers. Replacement of white vinyl top stop and Black vinyl bottom seal. My call was simply to replace the 2 vinyl stops that had worn down over the years. At your serviceman's strong encouragement, I went for a full array of improvements. Costing $900. My complaint centers on the 2 new vinyl seals installed. They were clearly not functioning properly by the completion of the job....getting caught in the door mechanism and leaving light gaps at bottom of door (prior stops did NOT have these issues.) Serviceman stated that the situation would correct itself with some use. I have waited til the end of the week -- 5 days with continuous use -- before responding to your survey. If anything the situation has gotten worse. I do hope to hear from you SOON and give you the opportunity to correct the situation. If not, my recourse would be to : 1) call Overhead Doors - who are excellent, but are not scheduling currently, to rectify the situation 2) post on our Dashboard ( Condo Assoc.) my dissatisfaction with your service 3) notify DATCAP, Better Business Bureau, etc. I'm sincere insaying I hope we can work this out. Right now I feel as if I've been taken advantage orby a less than professional company. Call me at 608-271-7975

The technician that came to my house was great - nice guy and knowledgeable. I had him look at my door since it had an issue. We decided replacing the door was probably the best option. He gave me quote. Since I didn't have him do any work that day I was charged an $85 trip charge with is kind of annoying since I was never told that when I made the appointment.

I called Precision to replace the rubber seal on the bottom of the garage door. When Rick arrived he was honest with me and said the garage door did not need a new rubber seal. He said the garage door needed to be adjusted, it wasn't hitting the concrete. It also needed a new bracket for the opener. Rick explained everything to me and was very nice. It didn't take him long to finish the work. I would recommend Precision to everyone.

Called for warranty service and they wanted to charge me over $400. They told me o ly natural use is covered. Not sure how we could have unnatural use. Then they told me items rusted due to sitting in water. The door and all parts are above ground, and no pooling or standing water is around the area. Concrete garage slab and concrete drive are pitched away from the garage. Warranty is useless. They don't stand behind their lifetime warranty.

We couldn’t figure out why our garage door wasn't opening. The service guy came and we weren’t able to get it open right then and there, but the serviceman was very nice and helpful getting a quote for us.

I had planned on replacing only the broken spring. Service tech came out, examined all hardware and door. Asked how long I planned to stay in the house, and when I told him forever, he suggested several additional things to replace. Told me it included a 10 year warranty parts and labor. No pressure, also gave 2 other options. I went with best option and very happy with performance of door.
