Had a rusted out rail, which wouldn't allow my door to open. Called at 3pm on a Sat and Rick Bourget was here as promised at 5:30. Explained to me what needed to be done and the most economical way to fix it. I would recommend Rick.

My cable broke on a vacation day! Yup, stuck in the garage late afternoon. I found Precision Door Service by Googling garage door repairs. I was hesitant when I called and the person I talked with was in a different city. She was nice, professional and assured me they could have someone there within 2 hours. I took the gamble and was VERY GLAD I did! The guy who repaired my cables/door was professional, polite, nice, and very efficient. He took the time to explain what had happened and what will likely happen in the future. I have only GREAT things to say and will use them again when needed.

in the past week, my garage door opened twice - the first time I was at home, the second time I came home to find it open. The service guy Alex (very nice guy) said he felt that replacing the "mother board" would correct the problem. I have still been un-plugging it at night, but so far the couple I have left the house and came back the door was still closed. Hope the problem is corrected, I guess time will tell.

When I called for the repair service, had difficulty with the ability to hear the call taker and I was not fully certain if my needs were met. Garage door was making a "slam" noise each time opened or closed. Stu came and in 5 minutes saw the problem and had it fixed in another 15 minutes. I liked the website when I was taken to it after searching for "overhead garage door" - or something like that. And there was the telephone number so I could call. Easy. I have wasted much time trying to find a telephone number on other websites. When I called it was easy to get an appointment without endless quests for more information about me. And the repair person who came was friendly, polite, and competent. I have accepted his advice.

Precision Door Service is a SCAM. I called and scheduled a service for a broken cable and was quoted on the phone a price of $90-$120 + a unheard of surcharge of an additional $15. Service tech arrived and told me that I now would need Bottom Brackets at $70.00 a pair ( You can buy them at Menards for $10.00 a pair) and I would also be charged $150.00 to have the springs retention. Service Tech now estimated the job would cost in total about $450.00, almost four times what I was originally quoted! I told the Technician to leave because I wasn't going to pay that much for a simple repair. On a side note I was able to secure a different provider to replace both cables, bottom brackets with new nylon rollers, retention the main springs and completely lubricate the rollers, hinges, bearings and even the overhead door opener for $150.00!!!

The team at Precision was responsive, attentive and professional from start to finish. We enjoyed working with Alex, our installer. He had a great sense of humor, spent time to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction and was a delight. He was great with out dogs and helped us understand our new opener, remotes, keypad, and the cool new wireless features of the opener too. I hope to NEVER have to see anyone from Precision again (because of the new everything), but I won't hesitate to recommend them to neighbors and friends.
