Precision Garage Door has always been dedicated to bringing you REAL, fair and honest reviews. We receive reviews from our customers through many different mediums. To make our reviews more transparent, we have decided to reveal how exactly these reviews get here.
Types of Reviews
This review was a "Report Card Submission". We ask our customers to fill out a "report card", like the one pictured below, at the completion of every job. The star rating is an average of how the technician performed in knowledge, promptness, courtesy, ability to finish the job quickly and in one visit, clean up of the job site and overall quality of the finished work. To add transparency to our business we make these public on our website.
At the completion of every job we ask our customers to review our business on our website. Their comments are reviewed manually for inappropriate language and then posted to the website unedited.
This review was a "Telephone Submission". Often after work is completed we conduct a telephone survey to ensure complete satisfaction with the work we did. With permission, Comments from these calls are transcribed and displayed on our website.
This review was an "E-mail Submission". Sometimes our customers send us emails to let us know more about how we performed. With their permission these are posted to the site.
This review was a "Postal Mail Submission". Our customers send us letters through traditional postal mail reviewing our performance. When they do, we transcribe it and place it on our website.

The job was done swiftly but carefully. Took maybe 20 minutes at the most. No new equipment needed. The price of $117 was a lot for 20 minutes work.

I could not have been more satisfied or impressed with the service I received from Precision. My garage door spring & cables broke on Friday at 4:45p.m. I called 2 other garage door services and one returned my call Saturday morning & Overhead Door Service who installed both of my garage doors has yet to call me back. When I called Precision I had an appointment set up within 15 min for between 6-9 p.pm. Friday evening. Joe Maenner was at my home at 8:30 p.m. He was so professional, knowledgeable & polite plus a good salesman he sold me a package I probably didn't need but now I can be assured the door has been repaired right. I can not say how much I liked & appreciated Joe. I have been a Realtor for 34 yrs and I will be emailing all of my Colleagues about Precision and Joe.

After having a old garage door opener replaced and seeing the massive difference in operation and quietness, we decided to go ahead and replace the other opener and both garage doors. Everything looks great and will keep our garage much warmer and airtight than before. So far we are extremely pleased with the work and the friendly service on this project.

Called several service providers on a Saturday evening, Precision was the only outfit to return my call so they got my business. The service tech was on time and called prior to arrival. His work was promt and you could tell he was knowledgeable and experienced. Only complaint is the cost of the springs:$99.00 each with cost of center bearing added to that. I did ask if he had a bottom seal for my door which needed to be replaced -- unfortunately I didnt mention that when I scheduled the service but he did have a high quality seal on his truck which he installed (again, only beef here is the price of the item). All in all the service tech was professional, prompt and meticulous with his work. He completed the job in less than 2 hours and other than the items he installed, left no trace of his visit. Very pleased with precisions service and would recommend to a friend with no hesitation. I would recommend comparing prices to gauge what is typical for the Madison area.

WOW!!! Can't say enough what an awesome job Joe did repairing our garage door. He carefully inspected the door and made expert recommendations on what needed to be fixed and what didn't and explained why. He did an excellent job installing a new garage door system and replacing the worn component on the door itself. He was efficient with his time and left the job site in a clean condition. He was courteous, knowledgeable and answered all questions thoughtfully and at an appropriate level. I am very happy with the end product/result. Good products, good service and installation makes for a happy customer.

Found you in the yellow pages after a cable broke on my garage door, like the fact that you listed the flat amount charged for the service call. It was very easy to call and schedule my appointment and was told my Service Technician's name. I also liked receiving the e-mail confirmation. Rob Larson was very courteous and professional. He described/explained all of my options. He replaced pretty much all of the moving parts except the garage door. My garage door opener had seen better days; it was nice he had one on hand to install. I highly recommend Precision!

This was a needed "return" call on May 16, since the garage door mechanism was originally repaired on April 18. I called at 9 am, an appt.was quickly made at Dane County number, for 12 noon to 2. Joe and Rob showed up right on 12, and had the door working by 12:30 (electrical connection). Great service!

Rob and Joe did a great job. They replaced cables, rollers and end bearings. They didn't try to oversell me anything that was not needed. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. Very impressed with both of them.
My only negative is that I thought the price was high. The initial $ trip fee and the markup on the parts seemed a bit much...$/roller and $/ end bearing.
However, I was in a real bind with my cars trapped in the garage and Precision was able to come out with 2.5 hours after I called where other repair places could not so I was happy overall.
I would use Precision again if they bring their cost for parts to a 50% markup.
