I am writing this email because we had Jason Masch come out and look at our garage door opening. He was very knowledgeable and explained what was going on with the door opener. He did a great job on explaining all of the options that we can take to fix our problem.

For the most part I am satisfied. The workers were terrific, friendly, clean, efficient and explained everything. My two concerns are that the metal vertical supports on the inside of the door appear to be thinner and cheaper than on my old door, and the price was quite high. I was in a hurry to get it fixed but if you have the time I would highly recommend getting multiple estimates.

James, Thank you for your feedback. That is a very good question. Years ago the vertical supports in older doors were much heavier, depending upon the thickness of the steel. The vertical supports do not actually bear any weight of the door, they are there for structural integrity. Some manufacturers would put heavier supports to compensate for the thinner steel skins. The older more heavier vertical supports also put undo weight and stress on the door and springs, causing them to have a shorter life span. Our doors are a 25 gauge steel skin which keeps its structural integrity better on its own without adding additional weight of heavy supports.

I called for a garage door repair at 8:00am on a Friday and they had a service technician to my house before noon! The service technician, Jason, was extremely friendly and explained the issue and the repair. He also walked me through different services I can have done in the future on the other garage doors if they have issues. The repair was done very fast! They did an excellent job!

Did a great job! Looked over the entire door. Found parts that were fading away and made recommendations to fix them. Explained exactly what he was going to do before he did the job. I had a break in and somehow my garage door stopped working. I was worried about the door being open again, and Jason was extremely helpful, patient and innovative in helping me identify the problem and come up with a temporary solution given that there was no power in the garage. I would recommend Precision Garage doors. They had very prompt service and called ahead of time. The young man that came was so very nice and explain everything he did. He even changed a light bulb for us. I give them a five star.
