Maintenance is an important factor in continued safety when it comes to your overhead garage door.  Just like a car, a garage door needs regular maintenance to continue running smoothly and safely.  Annual tune-ups can avoid costly repairs and improve the life of the door.  Precision Door Service offers maintenance specials to ensure that owners can economically keep their families safe from dangerous breaks and extend the life of the function of the door.

  • Safety Awareness of Springs and Hardware

Many hardware products for garage doors are specifically designed with the safety of installers, homeowners and building owners in mind.  Many safety standards for various industries have been enacted and updated over the years as new technologies have produced safer materials with more durability.  Springs are hardware products that fall into that category.  Springs are the most dangerous items to replace on a garage door.  They have been designed in such a way as to be as safe for the installer to manage as possible.  They have also been given certain safety features to protect homeowners in the case of breakage.

    Dear Precision:

I am writing this letter to tell you the excellent experience I had with your company.  Originally, I was calling for a quote.  However, I was so pleased with the accommodating service from Denise, who took my call, that I decided to use your company.  I was totally impressed with Stu and Travis, the technicians.  Because they possessed an incredible knowledge of their trade, they could maneuver my crippled garage door and mangled metal supports into place.  they were respectful and polite.  I sincerely appreciated that Stu offered advice on replacing worn ball bearing rollers.  He also explained what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait for a second visit.  Because your technicians were so professional, knowledgeable and efficient we will use your company for any further needs and recommend you to friends.  Thank you for providing this quality of service.

    Sincerely,  John and Barb Sylvester

James was wonderful.  He explained things so they made sense and the door sounds great.  Precision was a little more expensive than we expected but it was well worth it and I will recommend James and Precision Door Service to everyone.  Your service was A-1.

  • Why Choose Wood?

Posted on September 30th, 2009 denise No comments

Real Wood Garage Doors offer: longevity, simplicity and aesthetic charm.  Wood doors will last a long time and in many cases outlast vinyl products which boast maintenance free properties.  With proper care – wood products can last 50 to 75 years, but not all wood garage doors are the same.  Solid wood garage doors are the essence of simplicity.  Wood doors also stand up to the test of beauty.  Wood doors have been the choice of builders, architects and homeowners for centuries.  Solid wood doors are the best choice for durability together with aesthetic features.

A cable snapped on my garage door on Sunday afternoon.  I chose to call your company because of the 24 hour phone line.  While making the appointment, I indicated that I had to leave for work by 11am and would appreciate any accommodations to my schedule.  The service tech (Stu Ellenberger) arrived at 9:15am and was finished at 10:30am.  he was friendly and knowledgeable.  I liked that he had everything he needed on his truck – no extra trips to increase the cost of the service call.  Stu told me that when he saw that I needed to leave by 11am, he took my call first.  Such service is rare and needs to be acknowledged.  I will recommend Precision to my friends.   Thank you.

  • Benefits of a Great Design

Posted on July 16th, 2009 denise No comments

Why focus on design?  The Garage Door is the main entry to the home and the main focal point for curb appeal.  New homes are being built with design in mind to add charm and value.  Older model homes are getting quick face lifts by updating the garage door.  The garage door appeal can increase the resell value of a home.  Decorative windows and other accessories can quickly add value and individuality to the home making it more appealing.  There are doors and designs that fit every budget.  Ask your Precision Door Service professional about what products would fit your unique situation best.  Realtors say that replacing the garage door prior to listing a home for sale can increase the asking price up to 4%.
